Odd News is a digital news platform that curates and publishes unusual, viral, and thought provoking stories from around the world. The platform delivers breaking news, trending stories, and editor’s picks through a clean, responsive interface. With real-time updates and social sharing features, Odd News keeps readers engaged with fresh, surprising content every day.
We analyzed news consumption patterns and identified the need for a platform that delivers unusual and viral content quickly. We studied competitor platforms and spoke with editors to understand their workflow and content curation needs.
We built a modular backend with microservices for content management, user authentication, and analytics. APIs were developed to support web and mobile clients. Caching and CDN integration were implemented for fast content delivery.
Performance testing was conducted to ensure fast page loads and reliable API responses. The platform was deployed on scalable cloud infrastructure with monitoring and logging to track performance and user engagement.
